The CV is used in the media industry to give a brief statement about the person’s information and past work, a CV can include the persons contact details, ethnic background, health issues, work experience and past work.


Pros of using a CV in the media industry:


  • You can continue to update your CV as you develop and gain more experience in media industry therefore as you are either doing paid work or working just to gain experience this can be added to your CV
  • A CV is a document full of all your achievements so you can use this show off to any companies looking to hire you.

  • The disadvantages of having a CV if you have gap in your development it would be more visible to see due to a CV holding past achievements. If a persons don’t not write as much as they could or leave out key parts this would affect them because they would have less things to show to the employee.

  • A portfolio is a collection of either images or whatever you would like to showcase within the portfolio it’s a presentation of all your work , so if you were to attend a job interview , and your require to bring a little show of your work some people bring their portfolio , a portfolio is mainly aimed at photographers and artists.

Research and analysis

The analysis research we mad was mainly about romance because there was a lot of romance involved. I played the Hood rat’ in the short film and I also put the film in place. The storyboard was helpful because it made a guide line to my film and also highlighted how long each shot is which made the short story link to the storyboard. The pre-production was successful because it helped us plan our play successfully. The storyboard needed to link to the treatment because the treatment and the storyboard was a guide line for our short story in order to be successful. My story had a good plot but because I ran into certain issues such as the camera wasn’t ready to use so instead of having 2 hours to record I only had half an hour so we had to adapt to the time and shorten our play, also when recording I also realised that when I tried to record certain scenes I couldn’t due to a large amount people gathering around so I had to change the places of the scenes.                                                   Save our children analysis The save our children advert is about a young girl that is taken away from a privileged lifestyle that is replaced with having deal cope with a deadly war going on around her affecting her and people around her.   Setting  Even though the advert is talking about life in Syria it is set in London which can be seen throughout most of the scenes. The establishing shot shows the girl living a good life, enjoying her birthday. At the end of the video the same birthday cake is used to again but this time the girl is in a tent looking very unhappy with hardly anyone surrounding her unlike the first picture where she has a lot of family and friends accompanying her. This used to show how quickly life change from good to bad for not just children but everyone that is affected by war.
