Save our children analysis The save our children advert is about a young girl that is taken away from a privileged lifestyle that is replaced with having deal cope with a deadly war going on around her affecting her and people around her. Setting Even though the advert is talking about life in Syria it is set in London which can be seen throughout most of the scenes. The establishing shot shows the girl living a good life, enjoying her birthday. At the end of the video the same birthday cake is used to again but this time the girl is in a tent looking very unhappy with hardly anyone surrounding her unlike the first picture where she has a lot of family and friends accompanying her. This used to show how quickly life change from good to bad for not just children but everyone that is affected by war.
