Level 2 creative media production

The analysis research we mad was mainly about romance because there was a lot of romance involved. I played the Hood rat’ in the short film and I also put the film in place. The storyboard was helpful because it made a guide line to my film and also highlighted how long each shot is which made the short story link to the storyboard. The pre-production was successful because it helped us plan our play successfully. The storyboard needed to link to the treatment because the treatment and the storyboard was a guide line for our short story in order to be successful. My story had a good plot but because I ran into certain issues such as the camera wasn’t ready to use so instead of having 2 hours to record I only had half an hour so we had to adapt to the time and shorten our play, also when recording I also realised that when I tried to record certain scenes I couldn’t due to a large amount people gathering around so I had to change the places of the scenes. The strengths of the film was

 

  O pening scene: This is where the two main characters ‘Beauty’ and the ‘hood rat’ meet and fall in love straight away but certain circumstances are stopping the from being with each other.                 Middle scene: Beauty is happy about her new boyfriend and she goes to show her dad unfortunately he is far from impressed with him and it starts a fight, this results in Beauty’s dad dying.                 Ending scene: Beauty and Hood rat run away and Hood rat sells drugs to provide for the both of them.

Our piece will be about a male and female from two different cultures that instantly fall in love but there different cultures are stopping them from being with each other, they then run away with each other. The hood rat sells drugs to provide for himself and his girl. Textual analysis (Power) Power season 4 episode 10. Cast: Omari Hardwick Lela Loren Joseph Sikora 50 cent Rotimi J.R. Ramirez     Power is a modern day TV drama which consist of many different camera angles and movements to show the characters full emotions and gestures.   I will be focusing on the first 5 minutes of season 4 episode 10 because I feel they’re a lot of key parts to analyse. This episode starts off with a flash back of previous scenes with the use of non –diegetic sound to build tension and the beat gets louder as the tension rises. The next part is the   iconic   theme song   used in power which is “50 cent – big rich town” because the lyrics in this song talks about having to make money anyway possible and being brought up in a poor place which is very much linked to power because that is the main story in power.   The scenes starts off with Tyreke being interviewed by the police about the fatal death of his little s
